 Board of Directors 2023 Election

Thank you for your interest in serving on the Bushwick Food Cooperative’s Board of Directors. Serving on the board is one of the most important ways to  contribute to the BFC. How To Join the BFC Board of Directors:

Step 1:

Step 2:

  • Submit a completed Application Form by April 11 [Application Form available here]

  • Please note: The application process helps both candidates and the board to ensure that candidates understand the board’s work before committing to serve. After submitting your Application Form the board will contact you to confirm your candidacy and discuss any questions you or the board may have prior to the election.

Step 3:

  • All member-owners of the BFC may vote on board candidates. Voting opens at the Annual Meeting on April 25. (See election calendar for details.)

If you have any questions about the information outlined here, or the election process in general, please contact board@bushwickfoodcoop.org.

 Board Member Description and Responsibilities:

The Bushwick Food Cooperative is seeking enthusiastic advocates for food justice and community-building to join the Board of Directors.  The Board of Directors works to ensure the long-term health of the Co-op and guides the Co-op in fulfilling its mission statement by setting the overall policies and objectives for the Co-op, providing support and advice, and communicating with member-owners. 13. Build and sustain relationships with community partners.
